The structure of Resource.cfg file allow you to create up to 5 levels of subdirectories into the Mods folder. Btw, if you have problems and the game doesn't load your custom contents, try to move it together with Mods folder to Programs/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 World Adventure. You don't need to move this file into Programs/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 World Adventure folder, the game read it even if placed into Programs/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3. This file is compatible with World Adventure. Logged Jamie Occult Posts: 454 Re: Resource.

Any ideas for what could be going wrong I have 7-zip and winrar both installed. For some reason, I can't extract the resource.cfg file. The path to find the right folder should be something like this

Resource.cfg file is the same and both the folder where insert it is the same.

All you have to do is to put the Mods folder in your Sims folder. It is a folder named 'Mods' that contains two other empty folders (overwrites and packages) and a small file (resource.cfg). The easiest way is to download the set of folders you need from the internet. NRaas is a really good place for that or Crinrict's Sims 3 blog.
